Museum Traq applications have the capacity of addressing the following areas of museum interest or need (all of which are addressed from within our software systems coupled with our radio-frequency technology):
- Inventory Management – organizing the data base of museum possessions, loaned items, attendant descriptors, etc; this feature includes the abilities to merge existing datafiles into our applications (requiring minimal assistance from your staff)
- Security / Location / Tracking – keeping up with where each tagged item is, where it has been, preventing or noting movement of items, etc.
- Conservation – maintaining archives of relevant condition parameters, e.g., temperature, humidity, light levels, exposure to toxins
- Visitor experience – enhancing the visitor experience via connections to electronic devices, etc.
Security Traq uses the latest in video surveillance technology, as well as access control and intrustion systems. MuseumTraq trained personnel can provide security assessments for your facility, followed by studied recommendations for addressing your security needs and concerns. Security Traq can also be used with the Museum Traq system's RFID to establish invisible electronic barriers which, if breached, automatically date/time stamp the event, and notify security personnel.
MuseumDOT is the latest data-matrix barcode solution for asset or collections marking and tracking. A lower cost alternative to RFID the MuseumDOT solution uses a modified acrylic adhesive on a small round tag.
All Museum Traq products operate on a Windows platform/SQL database--fully adaptable and customizable to your institutions's specific needs; we will integrate with your existing software. A single solution for your various needs, Museum Traq will help you discover the technological possibilities for the museum of the 21st century. |
